Whatever you do

do not die in the Fall 

It is Football Season

and if you are buried

on Saturday or Sunday

no one will come to your funeral

because there's an important game on

and pizza on the way

it's best to die in the Spring

when there is not much going on

then people will come to your funeral

to talk and laugh with relatives

and eat the free food at the reception

if there's nothing on TV

you will get better attendance

there is no sense in dying

if you're the only one interested

think of how it would look

just you in a lonely cemetery

one car in the parking lot

maybe a crow on a high wire

everyone else at home

glued to the game on TV.
