I have a fan club

 

just one member

my wife

 

she thinks everything I write

is brilliant

and butters me up with compliments

 

it is so nice

to have someone appreciate

my art

 

it is not easy being a poet

thinking is hard work

my mind is weak

to begin with

 

she is the only one

who is there for me

so nice and flattering

always positive

 

through all our years

she has stood by me

like a rock

 

all the rest of my readers

couldn't care less

 

well come to think of it

maybe they Could care less

 

but at least

they are polite.
