Hello Martin. Thanks for the comments on Model Husband. You're maybe right about the rhythm here and there. I like a bit of loose rhyme, near rhyme, though, and I've done a lot looser than septum/erection!Actually, the poem's just found its way into a proper book, one that people pay money for! Hard to believe, isn't it?!

'Ey up, youth.
Glad you liked "Everybody's Gone Serfin'". I think you can get it at HMV.
I know what you mean about "If you don't want slaughtered". When I've performed it I change it to "You could end up slaughtered". Her Majesty agreed it was preferable.

No, don't delete FOAD. It's far better than any of that stylised rap 'n' rant stuff that gets put on here. Besides when a chap asks for a Herman Hermits CD he doesn't deserve to be mocked by some pimply grot.

ayup squire.
as to the non-existent word-unameable.
the easiest way out of that blooper-is-
(and you might find this idea very useful
with your newfound victim-er sorry-love)
blame someone else.

and who is the nearest person to the
back of my hand?
you guessed it!

in order to clear your foggy nog re
the(newly corrected)mistake
(that my-WIFE-made-ha!)
is the viewing of some old unknown duffers
phizog bunged onto canvas and squared off
with a few bits of warped B&Q shit timber.

fog/nog/phizog?..add christmas log-
and thats a start for shit yuletide poem! or a shit joke
like wot i rote.

ta for spotting the blooper-YOU F....nice man

good luck with l'amour!

Hahaaa!!! You've picked my 'party piece' song! :D I have sung that bugger EVERYWHERE from folk singarounds to round the fire at 7am at festies! :D

Nigel is THE funniest, sharpest lyricist ever - and I LOVE the sheer amount of musical and lyrical references he packs in :D

For shame, I won't be going on Saturday. Me chap's band are playing their crimbo gig in Llangollen so will be going to that instead, but it was a verrry close decision.

Howdy Richie

Thanks for your note on Hasta. Aye, he is still out there, and lives within my own energy too. Knew him 30 years, miss him like mad. One life and that, eh?

And...don't know where you live chuck, but Half Man Half Biscuit are playing the Manchester Ritz this Saturday :) Nice venue - went to see Alabama 3 there the other week. Do you keep an eye on their website? (www.hmhb.co.uk) They update it with gig listings every now and again :) Nice to chat to a fellow fan! :D I've seen em bloody loads of times...even made my own Joy Division Oven Gloves to take to a gig once heh. *no shame*

Thanks again for commenting on She's Mine Tonight...written the day after the night before ;) And the club really did disappear.

Cheers fella

It is wonderful..light, sweet and airy..when home-made the bought stuff does not hold a candle to it..served in a very thin glass tumbler, sugared and put into the fridge to cool it's magical..ok ok perhaps I am gushing a little too much but I do like it!

Impressive bunch of stuff you've posted, Richie.
I checked out the rest after reading Obsollete Airline Beverage. I particularly liked Your God is Angry with You.
You should check out MC Newbury's stuff. I think you'd appreciate it.
