MOONSISTER
MOONSISTER
Moonsister, earth goddess,
The sky awaits you, your
searching gaze pauses the
heavens.
Does your heart beat in
time with nature or do you
listen to the wind for your
name being called?

ENGLISH LANDSCAPES
ENGLISH LANDSCAPES
Here in our English country there is a broad range of scenery,
Form the ancient greenery of an oak wood to the gently flowing
rivers of the lowlands, this is a country of many moods and colours.
There are hills and marshes, mountains and lakes all with wild life galore.
Everyone is pleased to see such graceful scenes if out walking or quietly s...

GOD’S LAND
GOD’S LAND
As it reaches its zenith the midnight sun casts its pale light over this silent land.
Nothing stirs except the howling winter wind over miles and miles of emptiness.
No animal or man is to be found here, only the elements in their most basic form.
Earth, wind, fire and water. This is God’s land, a timeless placeless place.

great north diver
Solitary in winter
I find you on the beach
sleepbound.
I’ve walked some miles across this sand
wind knocking me back.
On my right the sea battles.
My hair lashes my face.
In this chaos of desolation
you are a concentrated essence
a nugget of pure exhaustion.
What lies behind your dreaming ruby eye?
The pressure of the sea
h...

HIKE
HIKE
I’ve been on an eight mile hike with my mate, getting out of town.
Up roads, to the Waterworks to give a witch my Amelia Earhart spell.
Venturing through farmer’s fields, over dry stone walls and under barbed wire fences. ...

BOULDER
BOULDER
The massive boulder sits in the lea of the moor; it has been here for a million years
and seen everything that has ever happened.
So many tons of stone made up of all of the elements which make up the very
planet itself.
This piece of stone has been here longer than Man himself and it has seen so many years
come and go, from the harsh cold of wi...

RAGING RIVER POEM
RAGING RIVER
The raging river runs all year round through the varied landscape,
hundreds of yards wide and a dozen deep, a lifeline of the planet.
Full of life, a river of life for the people who live by it and for nature herself.
Mankind uses this river as a source of food and power with his river boats.
He is often blind to the harm he can do, taking too much fish an...

CIRRUS
What will it take for you to give a damn? To give instead of to take? Instead of taking and raping the, our, world of her resources, you decide to do an about turn and care for our precious planet. Not to turn the clouds black with smog and car exhaust fumes, no more acid rain in her lakes and rivers. No black seas and polluted beaches full of oil from a so calle...

The Tall Green Grass
The wild colt enjoyed
galloping through
the tall green grass.
One day he was captured
and made a beast of
burden. He worked in the
field and pulled the wagon,
but he longed for
the tall green grass.
He grew old and weak,
one day he lay down
and closed his eyes.
When he opened...

Nutty Squirrel
This squirrel is crunchy nuts
like Kellogs.
He's oats so crazy.
He makes Hammy look
placid, docile.
And with a cheeky smile
wrecks havoc on Hampshire.
It'll take more than a New Forest
to stop this rabid squirrel.
He subjugates snails
and bullies badgers.
Bonkers, he th...

'But a man'
‘But a man’
If it were, for only birds to see
Through skies, far and wide
Then would we not want to see
Through birds eyes?
If it were only for the horses to gallop
Distances far and wide
And only our limbs could take us there
Could we take that, in our stride?
If it were for only fish to swim
To cross oceans, rivers and waters full
And to sink to their depths of ...
