Dream River
This poem has its origins long ago in a jaunt on the Mississippi river on board the paddle-steamer SS Natchez.
Dream River
As water-light dances through cabin blinds
in scintillant counterpoint to her chattering bow,
a brooding threnody of whistles fills up the big boat's horizon-lines;
the mate checks the bearing of her painted prow.
Well-worn warrior of river life, paddles slap...

Jitters
She woke up with jitters
Drenched in sweat were her clothes
She didn't know what had happened
Watching all around, into darkness she tore
Something was causing the goosebumps
On her hands and the back of her neck
She chose to ponder around
Ignoring the sirens in her head
"I did have some friends with me
What were their names?"
Her mind was a mess
Was she ...

{Diary Of The Southern Queen Entry #19} {Living Death Traps}
Well for many year's
now I have a
reoccurring vision, nightmare, illusion
that has me living
out a hellish living
death trap that haunt's
me ? night after
when I am able to
sleep
but most night's while
I am asleep I start
to have these dreams
or vision's that seems
so l...

Made of These
The tears fall,
Unstoppable as
rain on autumn hay,
so I let them,
let them sink
as they sing-
paw prints in the snow
against my pillow.
He sleeps so quietly
beside me
so I let him,
let him hide in worlds away,
ones hidden in the day,
so he can hide in golden shrouds
of fairies’ dust on candy clouds.
The tears fall,
Dampening

I had that dream again...
I had that dream again...
You and me dancing on some random beach.
I felt your hands on my thighs,
moving me gently with your warm eyes.
You were looking at me like if it was the first time,
the first time of holding me with your warm hands.
I remember it clearly now.
My head was resting on your chest,
I know you were smelling my hair and
playing with it just like y...

Cottage Garden
Much more than half my life ago
Some chance led us to this place;
Now, my heart is caught and held
By the peace of its earth and space.
Some while past, when first she left me
I could not make my soul adjust
But cached it safe within the plot
Beside her memory and her mortal dust.
And as the family aged and spread
My lonely tenancy grew content
Past spectres...

There was once a man.
There was once a man,
charming in the flesh
He fell in love with a woman,
who he described her as a universe with the brightest stars.
She was his dream,
a dream that came close with his reality.
There was once a man,
bewitched with all.
He dare not speak,
for not to ruin all.
He cared for his beloved,
as if she was the heart of it all.
Until he met his dem...

When life is but a dream
There exists a time
between sleeping and wake
when only the night owls stir
the street lights flicker to candle light
& nothing but absent thoughts whir.
Reality becomes but a stencil
as the dreamers direct their scape
the black bats cry a warning sound
2 minutes ‘til the curtain calls fate.
As all the possibles become truths -
between broken sparks that are woven together
lost begi...

Let Not Distraction Keep You!
Let not distraction keep you!
When The Drama of the perfume Fades
The Tossing Tousled hair parades
Settle in a lazy muse and the moon no longer lingers,
When the mystery seems tired as the night turns day,
The conversation feels hired as the wine wears away,
When reality strings together like a cellists’ tune,
Awaking your longing for a richer room
Be the see...

Dreaming
And there lay the girl, balloon in her hand,
Who wanted to travel to Mars.
Until the great day, when somebody came,
And slaughtered that daydream of hers.
So there in the field, where the dandelion grew,
And adorned the hilltop in gold.
The girl made a deal, a deal no one could steal,
To one day fly to the moon.
She carried that dream, for many a month,
Lollipo...
