a note

a word

whispered

in secret

a name

dropped

there-after

a woman

reflected

there-over

The transparent sunlight

stirred by her

thin fingers

The immaculate

I) Annunciation

A message great
Unmatched to date
From Almighty
Via an angel,
Irreverence against God
That does not tolerate,
To a pious girl immaculate
Was sent.

While the holy one
For a pray bent,
The angel Saint Gabriel,
Himself great
Descended from high
Above in the sky
And with reverence said
β€œBehold
There is a message
To be told!

The holy one
Felicitate, for
In God...

Word wanderer

I am a word wanderer

peripatetic poetry is my voyage,

each syllable a serendipitous moment,

vowel vitality fuels every page

while a loquacious line forks off into two distances

leaving a double and doubtful sense

to my meanderings

all the better for the turn of phrase,

adding to the journey

is a consonant chaos of juxtaposition and alliteration,

a choice to turn left ...

CONFIDENCE

If you learn from the past
Improving your future
Then you'll achieve the goal
And reach it safely faster

Pay an attention to move
Know the direction to go
Have time to Improve
Act well, not only "show"

Earn your people' regard
And don't cross the fence
Know the value of the word
Now you've got confidence

My Imagination? 99 word horror story

The shadows flick across the darkened room.

I imagine these are demons in their evil dance,

although I know it is only the passing cars.

I hear strange noises coming from the attic.

I imagine this to be a serial killer stomping around,

although I know it is the mouse I chased

away a few days ago.

I hear an anguished moan.

I imagine it to b...

Ninety one Word Story of My Life

I was born in Texas and raised in Arkansas. I was taught that if you worked hard and tried even harder you could accomplish anything.

In some ways this is true. At the age of 26 I joined the army.

Even though my service from 1986-1988 was a little boring. I did something that at the time was unusual for a Woman. I served along side Men and pr...

If Lewis Carroll Used Spellcheck

β€œTea’s grilling, and the sloth’s toes

Did gear and gamble with their wage.

All misty were the biographers,

And the mime rats outrage.”

If Lewis Carroll used Spellcheck,

There wouldn’t be a β€˜double Dutch’.

He’d have more literary respect.

He’s just so out-of-touch!

The worst thing is he’s a success!

Had he been typing with his feet?

From what I...
