The loss of you
The loss of you
The day I lost her, all that she meant
The day I lost her, the day that she went
I cried the loss, of a true friend that day
I cried the loss, when she went away.
Sadness and sorrow, has broken my heart
Now that you've left us, to sadly depart
Taken to early, just age 43,
The prime of your life, taken from me,
The world is now grey, the colour has gone
Now you've been...

Blessed are we
Blessed are we
As the morning night, does turn to grey, We see the coming of the breaking day
Birds will sing their morning cries, to welcome back the morning skies
Fluttering their wings up in the trees , enjoying the touch of the morning breeze
Clouds will drift and float away, bringing the promise of a beautiful day
Creatures that moved throughout the night, disappeared, now out of sight

Light or dark
Light or dark
I've been here for quite some time, thinking of a poem or doing a rhyme
as Im sitting at my desk, in my long pair of shorts an a tatty old vest
Thinking of the topic, of which I would write, will it be heavy or will it be light,
will it be love, a passionate ode, or would be of struggle, and a desolate road,
giving my self over, to the emotion I need
I'll let my pen find t...

The friend I love
The friend I love
Sitting in my chair in front of the comp, eating an apple, an occasional chomp
Pictures of you, running through my mind, thinking of words, I cannot find
I can't help, picturing your face, your feminin beauty, elegance an grace
Eyes that shine, with sparkle and glee, I wish those eyes where looking at me,
Cheeks that glow, your radiant smile, please think of me, just o...

Capture your beauty
Capture your beauty
If I could carve you, it wouldn't be wood
It wouldn't do you justice, it wouldn't be good,
If I were to carve you, only marble would do
To capture that beauty, the beauty in you,
If I was to carve you,
In the style, of the old roman way
I would carve it to last, I would carve it to stay
I would take my time and I would not rush
I'd be ever so careful...

The guy
Remember the guy
November the fifth, bonfire night, to celebrate guy and set him alight
Fireworks shooting, up in the night sky, kids watching them going, ever so high
Flashing and banging, exploding in light, giving the kids, a most wonderful sight
The wood is stacked, and been set to flame, for the Children that gathered,
The children that came,
The flames go up licking his feet, burnin...

The end
The end
The time has come for me to go
My life's been hard, as you all know
I've worked hard, all of my life
All I've had is trouble and strife
How I've tried to turn things around,
My hopes my dreams
Smashed to the ground
I've had my highs and I've had my lows
But life has dealt me, too many blows
Endless depression, is getting me down
Can't raise a smile, only a frown
The li...

Walking the dog
Walking the dog
The grass is swaying, in the morning breeze, moving gently, tops of the trees
Intoxicating smells, whilst breathing in air, taking in sights, nature does share
Out for a stroll, just walking the dog, spot a young couple, having a snog
Slides are empty and swings are still, kids are playing footy, just over the hill
Birds are chirping, singing their song, I keep on listening ...
