gifting us a glimpse of their floral delight 
Little yellow beacons dancing in the wind
bringing us this hopeful sight

The bright, sunshine yellow flower 
gives us the feels that spring is almost here
The promise of warmer and brighter days 
delivers some much needed cheer

There’s nothing quite like a crisp winter morning
where the air feels fresh and clear
All around is quiet, calm and still 
the sound of birdsong is all I hear

The sky pulls back the curtains so wide 
the sun dazzles with it’s golden glow 
This may be the tail end of winter
but it can still put on quite a show

everything dusted with a frosty sheen

SpeedoMick is on his final stomp
the thousand mile route set 
From John O’Groats down to Lands End 
it’s his most ambitious challenge yet

Taking in the three highest peaks 
in the wind, rain, sleet and snow 
Braving the winter weather 
in just his famous blue speedos 

This challenge is Herculean
it’s definitely no mean feat
All in aid of charity 
with a million pound target to meet

One of my favourite signs
that a change in season is not far away
The appearance of snowdrops in the garden
brighten up a winter day 

Like an old friend returning home 
after a lengthy and weary journey
They are a most welcome sight
delicate and fragile yet strong and sturdy
