Nick and Dave
He's magical
like Elvis.
Like Elvis
not many know
he has a twin.
Embreo split like yin and yang
encompassing the universe's majesty.
Death and rebirth.
Light and dark.
Fear and love.
And all that's in-between.
One child playful as oompa loompas
all dancing and silly songs.
The other the underside of a scratched CD

We're All in this Together
My last poem I submitted about a minute ago was more lovey dovey.
This one is back to my usual opinionated anarchist self lol.
Enjoy peeps :)
We're all in this together,
Reclaim this Tory spin.
Rip the words from the campaign poster,
put the paper in the recycle bin.
Workers of the world UNITE!
Students of ...

Palindrome Girl
I see a palindrome girl,
Luminous she glows back to front
Onwards with Snow White beauty.
Vivid visions veer me towards a vortex of
Excellency in your execution of poetic elocution.
You are humbler than Pi
Oh you circumference my heart at 3.142 much
Unable to justify your magnificence with words.
Avatar like, I s...

Fourth Wall of Faustus
Memento mori – remember you must die.
Faustus heed thy warning.
Speaketh not devils,
Angels exeunt with wretched abandon.
Enter Indigo.
Thine saviour art not light nor dark.
Thou art thine saviour,
Thy soul art Medusa in thy mind,
Thou darest not meet its gaze...
frozen as Atlantis abyss.
Thawed as a lobster in
Satan’s furna...

Death in a Library
Here's another recent poem, I've been offline recently with computer problems so I've not shared much new work on here, I apologise.
Here's a piece I performed at last month's Freed Up, and at the Halloween Special of my own anything goes open mic/space (because we're not all wordsmiths, some people dance or play instruments) arts event OpenMind.
It's quickly becoming one of...

Afraid to Dance
She was naked – underneath her 7 veils,
She didn't dance, even shoes subdued her.
She removed her first veil:
She was depressed until she met me.
She told me of scabs that remained opaque in her memory,
She revealed this truth whilst self-love remained hidden.
She held my arms, comforting the butterfly - she broke the chains that cocooned him.

Extreme Complicity
Now it’s not that extreme violence,
Extreme scorn,
Extreme bigotry,
Extreme hate…
Aren’t extreme, they’re just mainstream.
People spit and sip from this poisoned chalice with malice.
On both sides,
Of the equation.
But what of the old people who smile, act happy,
Yet calmly state “I won’t go to a shop that’s run by a Paki”?
Blame TESCO for destroyin...

A Galaxy Far Far a Gay
Never felt I belong,
A lone geek alternative in an
un familiar
un friendly
galaxy.
More clones than the Rebel Alliance could muster,
Surrounded by Sontarans.
Fat
ugly
dirty
dirt filled men with venom laced fingernails
and
tongues spitting acid.
My naive self penetrated like the Death Star,
No sign of Han Solo.
I sail solo
