Biography

I currently work at the University of Wolverhampton as a graduate teaching assistant. I have been able to do poetry, rhymes on the spot for many years and i suppose i have wasted a long time before joining a site like this. I hope you enjoy my style of poetry. Andy

Samples

BULLY It’s getting real difficult to not take notice Slurs and remarks are naturally processed Then linger unwanted within my head Forcing the issue until the first tear is shed Of course I consider telling the teacher But I’ll be overprotected, by a permanent feature Which is all well and good in the hours of school When thought of the day is ‘don’t be cruel’ Then when I walk home I get a message or tweet Cyberbully knows you are lonely and weak You plead that it stops to total rejection More to the inbox, viral infection One bully, two bully, three bully, four Proud of each other they proceed, encore No matter of height, weight, colour or size I’m the one they chose with no compromise I hope they see sense before it’s too late And pick on the new girl stood at the school gate.

Thank you Big Sal. Such a shame that this continues to go on.

Your sample is powerful with an underlying tonal introspection for oneself, the reader. A story told too often here in America and elsewhere where cyberbullying is the new hallway and trash can.
