Biography
Hi everybody I enjoy writing poetry on different themes. Some satirical others serious. I like to vary my writing style from rhyming to prose. I like writing about observations in life and also historical things. I also like writing short stories and I'm also an avid reader reading all kinds of fiction though my favourite is literary.
Samples
Smokers Assembly From the gloomy bar into sun shining bright Out pour the smokers sparking up Marlboro Lights Rich and poor there's no contrasting them Around every pub entrance stand the smokers convention. Men and women in all life's guises From filtered tips to roll ups a fog of smoke rises Nicotine heads chat the fag ash birds up Then back in the bar for a lager to sup Ash and dog ends litter the pavement floor While vigilant doormen patrol the pubs main door Lungs are bloated with nicotine smoke As the abstainers pass through, on toxins they choke The smoker's assembly starts from morning to night Taking breaks from ale supping on Bensons they bite Some of it's social some of its need They lurk outside for an addiction to feed

Hi Dean, how are you buddy ?? Thank you for the comments on The Old Bastards Will. I was aiming for a serious by the death, but funny by the old man having the last laugh, as he knew his family were only ever interested in his millions. Very happy to read that you enjoyed it, and, thank you again.
Hello Dean ... thanks very much for the comment, from the immediate response it seems plenty of other people understand these situations ... I logged in and wrote it so it has the feel which others seem to have recognised .. thank-you .. chris.
Hello there - and thank you for commenting on the
posts about mental health - result of Tom Doolan's
poem "1 in 4".
The subject is always emotive - from various
points of view - especially as the suffering
takes many forms and claims many victims. Talking
- or in this medium: posting - can be very therapeutic. The exchange of information and
support is always a positive thing.
Keep writing!
