Biography

I write about my journey and the events I and many other women have endured. I hope to learn from other writers on here and inspire some to share their stories as well. I enjoy writing dark poetry to relieve my mind of those thoughts once they're on paper. However, I want to get away from that and write lighter poetry, and I'm sure you guys will influence me into accomplishing that. Handwriting my poems before typing them up allows me to feel every bit of them so my readers may too. I also enjoy rhyming in my poetry but I am trying to get away from that to explore new styles. I hope you enjoy it here.

Thorns

I was the only rose not ready to bloom but you still plucked me out you had to have what others couldn't my thorns hadn't come in so I couldn't keep you away you took what you wanted and left me petalless bare for the world to see

Daughters

I hope you never have a daughter for she will lack a father There might come a day you have a child you may think it's nothing but mild I yearn to protect her soul for that will be my only goal How will you look her in the face? knowing you will always be a disgrace I pray you don't have a daughter for she will lack a father How can you nurture a girl? when your mind is a twisted curl If she hurts you will not blink an eye when you talk all she hears are lies You do not get to start fresh when you left me raw in my flesh You do not deserve to create life if she dies you would not think twice I beg you don't have a daughter for she will lack a father
