BAME!
(You will see where I got the inspiration for this. More than the inspiration, really. I have just taken his piece and wrapped the song around it. See first comment)
Baby, look at me
And tell me what you see
You try to be woke and polite
But BAME just means that I’m not white.
You don’t know what you say or do
With just two boxes – me and you;
How, morally, can this be right,
Defining me as just “non-white”?
BAME!
A comfort to liberal conscience
A catch-all for people non-white;
BAME!
We seem to be travelling backwards
To the time of de Klerk’s apartheid.
So, baby, look at you;
Is our difference so taboo
That you need to be absurd
Fabricating pretty words?
So you must think it’s no big deal,
But how do you think we all feel
To lump together all of these,
The black, the brown, Turk and Chinese?
This might come as some surprise
Perhaps you twonks don’t realise
We’re not remotely all the same
So why, then, brand us all as BAME?
BAME!
A comfort to liberal conscience
A catch-all for people non-white;
BAME!
We seem to be travelling backwards
To the days of de Klerk’s apartheid.
BAME!

Yes indeed, MC and Po. If there was any justification for the use of the word "BAME" it would be on the census form, meaning "all you others".
I confess I am a bit disappointed that no PC luvvies have risen to defend it.
