The Lonely Room
Dim lit halls
and empty walls
remind me
of a tomb
I see no sun
no greenery
from within
this lonely room
No one comes in
no one goes out
no visiting is
the rule
I miss my wife
my family
they must be
lonely too
It's been so long
since anyone
came close
or shook my hand
I am alone
without contact
I do not
understand
Just how long
will this go on
I can only
just assume
In isolation
I will die
doomed to
this lonely room.
