Boring (Ode To Lockdown)
There is no sun
There is no rain
There is no wind
The sky is overcast and grey
Nothing to see
Nothing to do
Nothing to say
This is my boring blog today
There is no sun
There is no rain
There is no wind
The sky is overcast and grey
Nothing to see
Nothing to do
Nothing to say
This is my boring blog today
Life gets teejus, don't it?
(Slim Dusty from Down Under).
You are much more polite than myself Paul, thank goodness!
Thanks for the like and the comment Aviva.
Your words made me see my own write in a new and different light.
This made me smile. Is it a three untruths followed by a truth pattern?
The sun is in the sky, rain is probably happening somewhere, the wind is outside the window. There's nothing you want to see, There's nothing you want to do, You're saying something right now. Your mind is full of a poem, your mind is full of a poem, You're using someone else's voice right now? hehehe and then there's the ... in the last truth line and ain't that the truth!
Thanks for the likes JD, Paul and Keith. Also for the comments Paul and Keith, Changed the title accordingly.
Part 2
My mind is blank
My brain is numb
My voice is lost
On this late November day
The news is dull
The house is still
The week is done
Thank.... ful at least it is Friday
Julie,
The title of this poem should be an Ode to Lockdown.
We all need cheering up. Thank you for this
Keith

Thanks for the likes Stephen G and
Stephen A. Totally lost for inspiration today, not sure if that is a good or a bad thing?
