A COVID-FREE POEM

This poem

has been screened and tested

and the results are negative

so it is Covid free

In addition

this poem has not run a temperature

in the last 14 days

or developed a cough or had diarrhea

or visited a correctional facility

or been around any other poems

with Covid-like symptoms

so you are cleared to read this poem

just maintain a safe distance

and remember after reading it

to wash your hands

with soap and water and Clorox

and also burn your clothes

you can never be too safe

around a poem

once a poem leaves the author's pen

you never know where

it might might end up

or who it might have touched.
