Such a shame she couldn't seem sweeter.
It would surely add to her media power
If she could look a little less sour!.
As for me I wonder about other things...

I’ve heard Greta’s teachers are worried about her grades, which are slipping and her attendance record is very poor.
What is not being talked about, MC, is the humorous threat to the manhood of middle aged men by a little girl and their huffing and puffing response.
As to the population I don’t have grandchildren and unlikely to have any ! On the fridge question I have a fridge that’s 30 years old and if I replace it I’m contributing towards new manufacturing but if I keep it it going I use more energy . HELP?
Thanks for the addition to the debate Pete. It's not as if most
us don't actually understand the likelihood of excess human
industrial activity having a detrimental effect. But excess also
applies to the world's rapidly increasing population. The
question is how human threat is being reckoned against what is undoubtedly occurring 24/7 in nature. And, of course,
big changes in long-established industrial activities and their sources require big money being funnelled in that direction. I'm old enough to recall the scare stories decades
ago about mountains of old refrigerators and their CFC threat
to the ozone over the Antarctic - about as far from human industrial activity as can be imagined on this planet. This was
challenged by a French scientist in a broadsheet newspaper at
the time and he became some sort of persona non grata for his
scientific opinion. Little has changed, it seems.

If she could come up with how to actually achieve it rather than rhetoric I might listen
I tell you what turn off all climate damaging activity tomorrow and see what happens . Out and out conflict , but you would only be able to use environmentally friendly weapons ? That doesn’t include sharp instruments as they require iron ore and coal to make them

John, yes it's always good to keep up the pressure on governments.
So is she trying to do a good thing, fellas? It’s an irksome little question, it seems.
Meanwhile, a volcano in Palma continues to spew out vast
emissions of noxious fumes into the air and no "expert""
banging on about climate change has appeared to discuss
the content and its effect in any way on the MSM for our information. Link that to activity above and below sea level
in any given year and let us have a debate about what this
does to our atmosphere while we address our own various
harmful ways.
The deafening silence causes eyebrows to lift when the frighteners about humanity's effect are applied with ever greater force and we cover our beautiful land and sea coast
with monstrosities that produce next to nothing for energy
even when the wind actually blows. Politics and science in
close alignment are always worth keeping an eye on.
One needs power and control, the other money and influence.
Debate...open and frequent and above all, meticulously informed; that's not too much to ask, is it? ? Voltaire seems
to be on my side about the worth of questions over answers!.
In the modern media world, there is pressure on public figures to "lighten up" and "show their real selves", however horrible this may be (Ed Balls comes to mind). It is to Greta Thunberg's credit that she does not seem to care about this but remains laser-focused on her main environmental message.
It seems to me that she is a thorn in the side of big business, rather than being used by it.
Having said that, it's good when a poem raises issues and sets off debate. Much better than some sad bloke writing about leaf blowers......

Save the planet John? She ought to focus on overpopulation, that's the real cause of the planet's destruction, and ultimately will cause the demise of mankind.

Greta Thunberg- an environment activist she is, she says. But if her work is spreading awareness about the environment, why does she have to intervene in political matters concerning the safety and development of other nations. Accepting loads of money and speaking up for terrorists who pretend to be revolutionaries is not a great job.
