FINAL CURTAIN? WORDS FOR AN INTERMENT

We are assembled here today

For the closing act of a lifelong play,

With all its laughter, joy and woe,

The curtain descends on this one-man show.

But somehow, somewhere, out of sight

We know there'll be a new "first night",

For this soul re-born to take the stage

Returned to life in another age..

Thanks Keith. These lines were written for the interment of my
late brother;s ashes in the family grave.
I was perhaps subconsciously harking back to the theme that "All the world's a stage and we are merely players" (or something!).
But then, hasn't the feeling of "being here before" come along
at some time in our lives? .

A good poem and sound theology.
Thanks
Keith
