Calliope

She danced with fluidity

Full of creativity

Down the bind

Of my mind

To adjectives hidden

Nouns spinning

Pirouetting through

Fantastical lands

Through tales of time

And shifting sands

Through a forest darkly

Lightly upon toes

Silhouetted by Ravens

In twilight's last throes

Weaving ballets from thoughts

To a symphony of verse

Bringing tragedy & love

And a spellbinding curse

Then she drifted like mist

To find sonnets anew

To hang from our thoughts

Like sweet morning dew.

A double whammy Stephen, as the subject is accurately portrayed but also the scan of the poem brings the theme into the picture too. The almost surreal wording adds to the pleasure of the read.

As always, thank you for the comments, Keith, Graham ( I would look after her but Coopy's got her locked in the cellar!) And, Stephen, my teacher would be proud!
And thanks for the likes, Julie, Rudyard, Pete & Jimakos 🌈

I meet her most days at the check out of my local supermarket. She's a piece that one.
Thanks for this. It begs humour.

Clever piece Stephen. Look after her, she is notoriously promiscuous!
