Bungalow Dreaming
I’ve got my eye on a bungalow
now I’m ageing fast and living slow
not much to do, nowhere to go
A remote-controlled garage door
An en-suite on the ground floor
These are the things I’m looking for
My rosy afterglow
I’ve got my eye on a bungalow
Where I can unwind, go with the flow
Touch the roof it’s only low
A resin drive that’s easy to clean
No moss, no weeds, no trace of green
Bungalow life, I’m living the dream
It’s a single storey show
I’ve got my eye on a bungalow
With space for a trailer I can tow
And a small front lawn I can mow
No more struggles or chasing
It’s a garden that’s south facing
That gets my heart racing
And tomato plants to sow
I’ve got my eye on a bungalow
With raised up beds where I can grow
Peas and cabbages in a row
Somewhere in a cul-de-sac
With a patio around the back
Stairs are all that it will lack
It’s time for me to go.

Thank you Stephen for your kind words & MC for your insight. We now have a wheelchair for my wife on our travels but she is a stoic and very determined Irishwoman, so the 56 stone steps up to our favourite holiday home in Southern Turkey are a challenge to be overcome with a stick and my arm. Once there the view and serenity make it all worthwhile.
