We Are Not In Control (Ad Man)

Ad Man)

Drowning in the overdose and flooding of commercialism.

Pressured to partake in the dark shady art of consumerism.

Brainwashed by promotions and showpiece glitzy adverts.

Even if you cannot afford it, why should anyone care less.

Rammed 24/7 down your throats of how Christmas should be.

Knowing full well for most people this cannot be the reality.

Relentless images of expensive presents and happy families.

Buying something you can't afford should make you happy.

They control your children's minds and put pressure on you.

You end up confused and believing everything they say is true.

Make you feel you have to buy all those expensive presents.

You are made to feel if do not buy, you will never be forgiven.

You're convinced it's the way to make your Christmas happy.

No, I can't afford them, but you feel you need to do it properly.

So, you submit to the never-ending pressure of the Ad Man.

And foolishly you buy everything insight that you possibly can.

Christmas night relaxing and pleased with how your day went.

Completely oblivious to how much money you have really spent.

Then he appears the same slick well-oiled Ad Man is back again.

Once again, he is here to help and become your lifelong friend.

He has got great rates for you to pay to off your mountain of debt.

Including the debts you had before that you decided to forget.

Good news it should take about 10 years for your debts to clear.

Bad news the Ad Man and his adverts will be back again next year.

So don't believe everything is true that you want to hear and see.

Make it a commandment to never get into more debt for anybody.

Please only spend and give only what you have realistically got.

And just tell the slick well-oiled Ad Man, politely to just …. Off.

I like to remove all the "obligation" from Christmas.

Thanks, Tobani. How true.

The scam that’s Black now lasts the whole damn week,
Black Friday sold you stuff you didn’t want,
Black Saturday, you’re bored stiff, take it back,
Black Sunday, TV adverts, kids brainwashed,
Black Monday, bullied at school, her trainers? crap!
Black Tuesday, boasting, “credit card’s well maxxed”,
Black Wednesday, factory’s shut, you’re out of work,
Black Thursday, Haaaaaaaaaaappy Christmas – no, not YOU,
Black Friday, lesson learned? no not this jerk.
