The Convicted Crown: 6 January 2025
6 January 2025 marks a dark day in the history of America and the world. The unthinkable has become reality—Donald Trump, a convicted felon with a history of legal battles, survives two impeachment trials and nevertheless rises to claim the presidency once more. His victory is confirmed on this grim day, as the USA witnesses a criminal ascend to the highest office.
The Capitol riots of January 6, 2021, stand as a chilling reminder of the chaos and destruction his actions unleashed, resulting in the deaths of brave officers and the desecration of democracy itself. Despite his criminal record and numerous lawsuits, Trump’s grip on power remains unchallenged, thanks to a delayed legal system and nefarious Supreme Court rulings that shield him from any accountability. As America’s democracy bends to his will, the world watches in disbelief, knowing this moment marks the beginning of a perilous and uncertain era. The promise of freedom seems ever more distant as tyranny takes root once again.
America, see your democracy fall,
A convicted felon answers the call.
Twice impeached, yet rising again,
The presidency claimed by a sullied man.
January 6, forever a stain,
A mob of lies unleashed in disdain.
Capitol breached, the people's house bled,
Defenders attacked, brave officers dead.
Q-Anon zealots and Proud Boys' might,
Tore through the guardians who stood to fight.
Overrun, overwhelmed, their courage in strain,
As chaos ascended and order did wane.
Muriel Bowser pleaded in fear,
The Guard delayed while riots drew near.
Trump turned away, and Pence took the stand,
A fractured nation, law out of hand.
A curfew imposed, the city subdued,
But the wounds endured, the scars renewed.
Congress returned as night met the day,
Biden’s win confirmed in a battered display.
A year passed, and the truth took form,
The committee’s report, a thunderstorm:
“Without this man, January 6 was void,
His lies the weapon his followers deployed.”
And now today, in the halls of despair,
Trump's victory confirmed with Harris there.
A bitter duty, to endorse her defeat,
Endorsing a criminal’s path to the seat.
The world looks on in sheer disbelief,
A felon as leader, no hope for relief.
Sued and indicted, a history of shame,
Yet his followers cheer and exalt his name.
The Supreme Court shields his actions in power,
While his lawyers delay the reckoning hour.
No ex-president has borne such disgrace,
Convicted of crimes, yet winning the race.
Beware, America, the precedent set,
A lesson ignored feeds deep regret.
When democracy bends to a tyrant’s will,
The promise of freedom grows deathly still.
Justice falters, the rule of law frays,
On this dark day, the nation decays.
The crown of power, corrupt and profane,
Falls to a man who brings only disdain.

I think it's too serious to be a laughing stock, and yes, too many politicians and supposed leaders of this world (Meloni; Orbán; Weidel...) are glued to the lips of this lunatic and his twin. They quit in advance (Smith), they resign (Trudeau), for fear of this deranged couple. What is it about him that makes the whole world fall for him, fear him? He is merely a descendant of a Rhineland-Palatinate freak from Kallstadt. A Hitler aura surrounds him, no question! Goethe once said: Oh woe, oh woe, when I look at the end!
