Egocentricity
Small things irritate us
Big ones we ignore
What is big for me is not for you
For Messier 51 our Sun is just another star.
Everyday seems like the last of its kind,
the next will bring in a change.
but it does not, ever
and we keep burning like the sun
the wishes never stop, never lessen
the next success always enticing
but never do we reach.
and spend time staring at the moon.
The stars don’t ask for names,
The planets need no classifications
Light needs no speedometer
And sound no calibrator.
They all probably know their purpose,
They probably know their place
We
Overthink -
Over aspire -
Overrate –
- Ourselves and our control over our fates.

Thank you Marla and Rolph! I think, the idea that the macro is depicted/replicated in the micro has really captivated my mind. The cyclic nature of things (set to continue unless the learnings are implemented) is scary at the same time reassuring. It is quite mind bending to even attempt to understand the grand scale!
