Poets possess passion
to pierce the superficial
with personal words –
seeking circles to soften angles –
surprised by insights
astonished by analogies –
ideas demanding expression
with lame skills -
to make
the invisible seeable
the intangible touchable
the soundless heard
the ineffable spoken.
Poets know -
experience is universal
a poem is an offering
honesty connects
and –most stubbornly -
Beauty defies definition.

I like "seeking circles to soften angles" or even describing circles.The "lame skills" does seem a bit odd.I even started wondering if it was a typo!
I like this and can identify... except 'with lame skills'
Perhaps 'connecting honesty' instead?
p.s. I love the intro to this - it just pops with alliteration...

I just read some other blogs. Once again, no connection to other persons' works or intents whatsoever. I wouldn't do that. It must be something in the air, like a virus.

Poets and poems result in poetry, its magic in the connection fired by poetry and its readership/hearer-ship. In that way we are all interconnected, much like the viral of which you spoke of earlier. Thanks for sharing, Cynthia.
