"Schemie Burd"
Have you ever met a "Schemie Burd"
From the south side of the city
Where social housing's at it's worst
And life is pretty shitty.
Her attitude is hardened
By the things she's seen and done
Like a 'favour' for a taxi fare
Turning tricks for half a ton.
People take a second glance
When they pass her in the street
You can see she was a looker, once
Despite the craters and crow's feet.
She knows she had potential
To leave that life behind
But, too many "you're not good enoughs"
Soon made her change her mind.
She's just another "schemie burd"
You see 'em ten a penny
Double buggy, fag in hand
Looked down upon by many.
Maybe, in another life
Her kids would have a father
Her nails and hair immaculate
A wardrobe full of Zara.
Her head held high, a sense of pride
She walks through the estate
Just another "schemie burd"
Her life, her choice, her fate.

I would have just one addition to your work- it would change the tenor of the work and reverse the finale- a ? ;) Tommy
