The Ladies Hat

I wrote this poem while in Aviemore on a Highland Creative Writing course.  We had to pick an item of furniture and turn it into somethingelse.  I chose a lampshade and turned it into a hat.

The ladies hat

Was like a lampshade

And it was

Much too big

When she put it on

It altered the shape

Of her wig!

She was hoping to

Go to Ascot

And the races

But, when her hat and

Wig fell off

There were alot

Of red faces!

◄ It rained for 40 days and 40 nights
