Hope

In yonder days of old
When the dinosaurs did roam
A lustful circus monster
Tossed up a mucal foam

An audience stood laughing
The creature showed no fear
It kept on at its business
Til the ejaculate was clear

The angry mob then settled
The nervous folk dispersed
They thought the monster beaten
They thought his bag had burst

But the creature had not finished
It pulled out a bigger worm
And with a frantic tugging
It drowned them all in sperm!

Wow - so this is really about perfect love finding freedom? And there was me thinking it was about a circus monster tossing himself off. Now I know where I'm going wrong.

These are wonderful comments! The title of my masterpiece comes from my belief that hope will triumph over adversity, just as perfect love drives out fear! Authorities may be frightened but lovers choose ffffrrrreeeeeeeeddoomm!!!!

I am puzzled by the title Jon - just what are you hopeful of? Raising a laugh or something else reapeatedly? A very unusual read and funny. It never ceases to amaze me what other poets find to write about - this has to be a first!
