Here, there and everywhere

Rules were made for breaking

I want to break them with you

History was made for making

I want to make it with you

Risks were made for taking

I want to take them with you

The Earth was made for shaking

I want to shake it with you

I’ll be your knight on a penny farthing

You be my damsel in a sequined dress

We’ll ride away on a sunken highway

Broke but never distressed

We’ll live for an eternity

Or maybe not, who cares?

Up a tree, on a whim, down a lane, in a spin

Here, There and Everywhere

Fears were made for beating

I want to beat them with you

Tears were made for weeping

I want to weep them with you

Regrets were made for facing

I want to face them with you

Hearts were made for racing

I want to race them with you

I’ll sell my kidneys

And we’ll go to Walt Disneys

Ride the Rollercoaster called love

We’ll drink tequila slammers

Eat take-away manna

That we’ll order from Heavens Above

We’ll live for an eternity

Or maybe not, who cares?

Up a tree, on a whim, down a lane, in a spin

Here, There and Everywhere

Like this a lot, Horace. It races along at an exciting pace, but never sacrifices your extensive ideas. 'You be my damsel in a sequined dress' is fabulous. 'Eat take-away manna' just hurls contradictions across the mind.

Really like this Horace. It kind of sums up the mad craziness of love with all its ups and downs. There is so much depressing stuff around it is nice to read something upbeat with joy and hope pulsing through it.

I enjoyed this Horace. It resonates. Saw an Italian film called 'Life is Beautiful' recently and it reminded me of that - same sense of love and life being a crazy wonderful ride - without ignoring the darkness.
