Tee hee - on the whole, I enjoyed it too. Yes perhaps we are all emotionally hungry and maybe that's why we spend so much time on WOL.. or is that because our mothers didn't feed us well enough as children or because we all married the wrong people or because life is all about unsatisfied needs....an interesting and well crafted poem Dave - you seem to end on a positive note, which is encouraging.
this is really good, i like the way you end the lines with conjunctions on several occasions making it accessable to read. Overall i really enjoyed it.

Seventy years? Do we have a fixation with the age seventy at the moment Mr Bradley? The line 'youth is no defence' lept out at me, and probably for all the wrong reasons, and made me wonder at what age, mentally we start to get younger, when does the mind begin to devolve?
Probably bears no relevance to what you meant and I am sure you will enlighten me. lol.

What do you mean 'more or less'? I don't want to think negative thoughts about it if that's not what you intended.
I do have to keep reminding myself that age does not always equal wisdom.
