5. Cats Paw Mc Graw

Cats paw Mc Graw

Is quick on the draw

His silhouettes

 a real revelation

He’s the Salvador Dali

Of the Alley

An artistic feline sensation.

He’s studied the grand masters

And modern art disasters

And featured in a Banksie

Or two

He’s painted HRH

With corgis snarling at the gates

For the right incentive

 He would paint you.

His palate is Crown

Dulux if funds are down

But Farrow and Ball

Is his passion

He’s eco and right-on

And hippy, man he’s gone

And his etchings

Are always in fashion!

He featured last year

In the Turner prize fiasco

When a pickled cow

Won the first prize

His magnificent offering

Of empty cat food cans and small coffin

Had tears streaming

From all the judges eyes.

But this year he’s taking a break

With a blonde he met at the Tate

He’s hoping to paint the town

His share price will be soaring

As the footsie is calling

Because his productivity is down.

And when he’s romanced his muse

In a garret or two

And sketched her as she reclines

He’ll have time to reflect

On the meaning of life

And all that’s hidden

 between the lines

Barmy and magnificent Eve. I love the easy and assured flow and the humour. Right on course and a delightful read. I could almost Pam Eyres mind in it, (is that alright?)
