Moaning Minnies Need To (Edited and OK'd B. Maryon)
Not wishing to ruffle no feathers
I passed this by Brian Maryon
Great poem don just go and post it
So here I am, to post it on
(Aside)
You'll notice my grammar's atrocious
My head, it is , well, kinda shot
But that's what God ended up giving me
So sorry folks, that's what I've got
Now to the title of my poem ...
Moaning minnies need to
Be driven outa town
All they're bloody doing
Is pulling all us down
I know we all have bad days
When skies are dark and grey
Let's bring some comic verse back
And drive the clouds away
Why's there so much serious
Poetry on this site ?
Where have all the Goons gone ?
(They've chuckled out of sight)
I think of Cook and Dudley
The mischief, Benny Hill
They helped us all to neutralise
In life, those bitter pills
So I will go and sit down
And pull out from my mind
Things to make us chuckle and
Leave serious behind

Thankyou Ray, MC (and BM). I'm always a little on edge when introducing myself into new territory. I'm a bit larrikinish and can ruffle feathers. Then I keep reminding myself of Dr Seuss "Be what you are and say what you feel 'cause those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter"
Brian - I look forward to continued commentation (?) as we help to inject a little fun and frolic into this site
Don ?
