Stir-Ups

Stir-Ups

Do you get stirred up like I do ?

Seeing people breed greed all around

Wanting to grab more from each other

Not content to stay put in their ground

Do you get stirred up like I do ?

Seeing people empathising with others

Not driven by what they can gain

But treating all people like brothers

Progressing through life with my stir-ups

I fret when I watch society

The 'greed-breeding' stir-ups keep on rising

While the 'empathy' stir-ups I hardly see

One can be greedy for a good many reasons, including good
company! That's a good reason to visit WOL, so good luck
to that! ?

Every now and again a poem decides its own pathway. You know what I mean. This was one ?

Must be an Aussie thing Don...we don't get any of that grabbing over here in the UK.

(Laced with heavy irony.)
