Absorbing The Day
Lead me into the dappled wood,
Where spears of light hit the clay,
I'll lay in the grass as the hours pass,
And just absorb the day.
Give me the peace and the solitude,
To contemplate my way,
Let the imbued platitudes of servitude,
Quietly melt away.
Give me the grace and strength to embrace,
The knowledge that I cannot stay,
In the peaceful release of the dappled wood,
Where spears of light hit the clay.
Leave me inclined with a peace in my mind,
As I face the rest of my day,
From the spears and the grass and the hours that pass,
Absorbing the day in the clay.

Majestic scene! You must have this picture carved in your memory and so I bet you can take it out of its little box and breathe in the fresh air and absorb the day. You made it possible for us to enjoy such a delicate private moment too! Thank you for sharing it with us Jason?
