Sit down at the computer

adjust the font

look forward and back

put it in drive and

ease out on the screen

feed a little gas

your fingers grip the keyboard

you are rolling now

let your fingers

steer you where they want

they may take you down a blind alley

but then you can just put it in reverse

back up and start again

practice is the key

you will get the hang of it

pick up speed

it's feeling good

you're getting more comfortable

behind the poem

you ease off the gas

slow down

almost there

come to a Stop sign

pull to the curb

put it in park

a poem arrived

then you get out and look at it

admire its lines

proud of your accomplishment

glad that you got it there

all in one piece

like learning how to drive.
