Leaves

LeAvEs
How they have fallen,
Laying thick,
Pressing the jostling grass
Under them.
Obliterating it from sight.
Their browns and yellows brighter
Than the grey above.
Achieving a moment of glory,
In death a dominance.
Looking up to freed branches
Framing veiled light,
Had they thought to fly,
Letting go their source of life?
How they have fallen!

Thanks Charlotte, Lisa and Robert, thanks Jennifer. Glad you liked.
Yea, there are times to stay attached and times to detach and times when you'll have to go with how the wind blows
Go well

Really liked this - in death a dominance - had they sought to fly - how they have fallen.
