"Not Like the Rest" is a poem that shows clearly the shortfalls with the care in the community approach, what a fanciful term for renaging on their responsibilities...

Really depends on what mood your in, I'm all for encouragement but mediocrity.. never... let the critic critique... thats what enables us to reflect, reappraise, ajudge in a reviewing light... As for the losening of inhibitions using the key of alcohol... well we all go there.
I don't want WOL readings ever to turn into a PC correct evening... a Readers Digest or Ladies Friend evening ...Good Bad and the Ugly... if something stings in the morning ..at least its made you think...
Ramblin now...
Gus

hi Seamus, "Not like the rest" is a great piece of thoughtful and thought provoking writing and I can see from your other poetry that you have a keen insight and sensitivity to the subject matter. Having worked in the mental health service many years ago I can identify with the "tragedy" you speak of...there are too many people lost in the system some are lost forever. Sian x

Hi Seamus,
Thankyou for your very encouraging comment on my fairy story.
Do you know, just lately, i've kept typing "ae" regularly in error?
After i'd finished this piece, i had a strong urge to tack a moral onto the end of it, but resisted.

I guess i'll have to try expanding it. Watch this space.
love Janet.xx

Love The Hood, I really like the way it looks written down as well as how it sounds when you perform it. Gem :)

I think that hunting is a bad sport too,,, only the ladies look devine in those jodphurs. "So you like to kill foxes?" I ask one. She says yes... and Im not going to let a chicken killer stop me ketting into the scratcher with this fime mare!!!
