The mind asked
the hands
--what are you writing?
but the hands simply
kept on typing,
the hands thought to themselves
--if we stop, the screen
merely remains empty,
so the distracted mind
overlooked the hands
as they continued clicking away--

I don’t want to write about anything
I only want to write
I simply desire to type
I like the feel of pressing keys
I don’t want to think about you
I don’t want to think about me
I don’t want to think about anything
I want to press keys down
I don’t need to be profound
I don’t need to see
I now prefer nothing else

A Poem Is Just Ink in the Shape Of
I'm studying Creative Writing in university, and my first poetry lectures were all about trying to define what poetry is.
