WINTER SOLSTICE

The day is to past, the time is to come.

Life would be ashore, kept below a dome.

Wind shall blow and howl, clouds will rise and pour.

Darkness's upon us, light's hidden from roar.

Nature, nature, she is strong and fair,

wild, crazy, she is a must to protect.

Rain drops over us, sun above the air,

quiet, shiny, a rainbow to collect.

Grass has go...

Cherry Tree

In the middle of a hot day,

Somewhere far away,

An old man walked home,

When he decided to roam.

He dug up a cherry tree,

He could grow it free,

He was so very merry,

To grow up a nice cherry.

But suddenly he looked around,

And saw a big God’s crown

Thought: let it grow here,

Bring the berries every year.

Let it grow as high,

As human’s eye ca...

Typical

Another moist, reluctant sunrise
through the night sweat morning dew
emancipated
the worm pushed towards the light
loosely erect

Across the lawn
the over stuffed pigeon
puffed up her unkempt plumage
cooed a taunt
How dare you wake up today
How dare you show that you tried today

Waddling heavily
she pinched him up
gluttony oozing
heaved him away
apatheticaly consenting to his fat...

Adolencia- from my new collection MUMB

They are going to bend minds-

they’ve thought of all kinds of things that we have never seen,

they will sustain environments and grow fruit in arid deserts

they will go to great and unseen efforts to save the planet,

they’ll shape this world into the word FRIEND.

Starvation will end and they will study the moon

and its correlation to the womb and will study women from cradle...

The stones cut carefully and stacked against her

Her winds find ways through the cracks

She'll take them back

A Poem For Spring - Ms. Shannon Frog

Ms. Shannon Frog
(By Paul A M Palmer)

Wintering in the dark
Beneath the rock
Beneath the stone
Beneath the bark
She sleeps

Dreaming of Spring
Amongst the males
Amongst the grass
Amongst the green
She sleeps

No thoughts of fear
About the fox
About the crow
About the stoat
She sleeps

Then in the Spring
Beneath the rock
Bene...

I HEAR THE RAIN

I hear the rain

the symphony

the concert

and the audience of green

each drop a crotchet harmonized

rushed on by quavers

and the faces of delight

riding each crescendo

then diminuendo

perspiring with relief

and in simple belief of the sun

raising his baton

for the rain to stop

each and every raindrop.

Nature's Forecast

Dawn awakening

The sun, full like a ripe peach

Curtseys to the moon

As it powder paints the sky

With warning signs of danger.

Why I Hate Moths

The moth, I disdain

It needn't cause me pain

Harmless it may be

With no venom to me

It flies into my face

No pattern, no grace

A pitiable creature

In purpose and feature

For I cannot detect

A trait to respect

The spider spins its yarn

Across a lofty barn

And the bee does strive

To provide for its hive

But the moth helps none

As Icarus to the sun

Flying My Birds

I fly the birds around this place

We chat amongst the trees

The wildlife up in this place

Contains a rainbow breeze.

The truth rises to the top

A quiet frozen mountain

I fly my birds up to the top

To chat and to surround it.

Discussing the monopoly,

Folks with greed in mind--

I'm the messenger of truth

Sending my birds to fly.

The Greed-ridden dictators

Own...

The Moth

The moth, she knows the flame will burn
But back again, again she comes,
Her velvet collisions dress the air,
Sparkling against these tempting embers
Where she throws herself over and over
Upon the most flickering of fascinations,
Such senseless self-immolation
Strips her to a carapace,
Leaving her scorched, naked, undressed, undone,
Beneath the tragic unravelling of her world.

Lovelonging

I long to gaze upon your rugged beauty
Magnificent as you rise up
From soft flowing valleys
To collide with the clouds
Slate coloured eyes
Surveying everything beneath you
Dangerously calling me to conquer

I long to swim in your energy
Caught up in the waves of your emotion
Intoxicated by your ebb and flow
My sanity lost in your cadence
Throbbing in your tide
Adrift in the moment...

Gravity Waves

It’s so nice to receive your greeting,

From so far away,

I’ve often felt you tickle,

As Earth and Moon do play.

But I suppose cus you’re mostly constant,

And tugging at my feet,

It’s easy to ignore you,

And not feel your heavy beat.

You make such a big impression,

Fine grains in vast clouds you entrap,

And enormous globes entwine and swirl,

At your magic ...

Aberaeron (after the storm)

Surging urging, brown, dense molass,

Upheaving through harbour gap,

Foaming deluge broken, unspent,

Over angular boulder castlement,

And with weighty mass continuing on,

To swell and play,

Mongst boats,

In harbour,

Sheltering,

From the upwelling foray.

A Winter's Walk In The Park

Sickly branches spread out from the bodies of comatose trees,
And her feet fall on leaves that have died,
Paper-thin corpses at one with the ground frost,
With each step she feels that she might,
Fall through the earth and plummet for years,
Leaving Welsh winters behind,

Crystalline grass blades stand neatly under silver pink skies,
She follows where the gravelled path snakes,
Her concer...
