Hit and Miss

Contradiction is inevitable.
Perspective relative.
Monotony is life.
Amnesia saves
drugs,
a selfish freedom from the past.

White open spaces,
existence and impermanence.
Meaninglessness.
The great abandonment,
a tragedy,
the greatest agony,
random nostalgia.

Simplicity,
blue open skies, open arms,
open mind over mind
over matter mad as a hatter
no matter the weather,
I don’t ...

Ink

Quickly the ink spreads, running across the pages.

Making sense within their lines, keeping records through the ages.

Each dotted line and scratched out cross as important as the other,

To fill the tomes with thoughts and dreams, from cover through to cover.

Entire lives and moments can be caught and stored within these bindings,

Academics throughout time had a way to save their fin...

Red Ink

Red Ink marks the paper
Scores a line and gives a grade
In the bossiest of moments
Tells of corrections to be made

Red Ink warns of danger
As it sits there standing bold
Or a single word might hang there dripping
While your blood runs stinging cold

It then brings heat, inspires passion
Like the warming of a fire
Consuming mind and paper
While the temperature gets higher
...

Tonight

I've never seen this look in your eye,

It's over, finally, it's over

And we hold that truth deep inside

So tonight,

Hold me tighter than you ever have,

Kiss me sweeter and love me harder.

And we will cry,

But it's ok.

We're not broken,

And even if we are,

From tomorrow on, I'll carry every piece of us With me in my soul.

So give me one last memory,

Tonight.

Writing is Power

Writing gives me the power to express how I am feeling without actually having to say,

I have a pen, paper and 24 hours in a day.

Although I keep my silence, I can still let it all out

I could talk about the blood, sweat and tears but they're all visible signs.

The things I need to talk about are all in my mind.

I find it so difficult to trust family and friends

but have no prob...

the brightest star in the darkest of light where
the darkest soul shines its brightest light
theres beauty in the dark

you look down on me while
I look up to the sky

prove my self to my self and to no one else
I look into your eyes as I pass you right by
you sit staring and wonder why I wont fight
i wont fight all your ignorance i dont have the time

Rubies and Diamonds

Rubies and Diamonds

To the dreary and the lonely,

To the cautious and the weary,

To the listless and enlightened minds,

Let them hear what my words describe,

Through humble prophets speaks The King,

Who urges and pushes for The Reckoning,

Answer your soul for it is beckoning,

Cast away shadows,

Cast away strife,

You must answer your soul,

And answer your ...

Poet Brain (30w)

Unfinished words bewitchingly buzz
Swarming through my head like clusters of noise I can't ignore
As their mutter quickens the more I become aware I need to fulfill their purpose

Mont Blanc #1

Will you buy me that slick pen
so expensive, so beautiful

I wonder will you wrap it
in specially chosen paper

some coastal scene perhaps
engraved with my initials

a pretty choice of inks
will I unwrap it on my birthday, beaming

say ‘thanks so much’ and kiss you
then write hard of my betrayals?
