Begging Man (Tomorrow It Could Be You)

Tomorrow It Could Be You.

As I sit with my bowl huddled on the floor.

Watching endless people enter the supermarket door.

I'm cold and tired from another hungry night.

And to all these people I am an unwanted sight.

My worn-out clothes are smelly and full of holes.

My shoes let in the water right through my soles.

I just looked straight ahead hoping someone will stop...

Whatever You Do

If you don't like it how it is
Stop complaining.

Stop praying, start living
Stop hoarding, start giving
Stop wanting, start enjoying
Stop waiting, start playing
Stop asking, start finding
Start hoping, stop minding

Stop whatever you are doing
Start changing

Make A Space In Your Heart

Part One
        Though your day is full
        There’s so much to do
        It’s a busy life
        So hard being You

Make a space in your heart
        Open out your mind
        Take a moment apart
        To see what you’ll find

Part Two
Because the world – has so many places
And in this world – there are so many faces
        Waiting for a smile

Time Could Last Forever

We live our lives together
Breathing the same air
Yet never help each other
It makes life hard to bear.

So much could be made better
In just a little time
And time could last forever
If we just use it right.

Giving Tuesday

Forget Black Friday.

Cancel Cyber Monday.

Go Giving Tuesday!

How can we focus on material things,

superficial gifts,

when children are starving,

sick, neglected, abused,

need clean water to drink...

If 2020 has taught us anything,

it is to see more clearly,

appreciate what we have,

lend a helping hand.

Together we rise above mediocrity,

spread love in o...

Faith is a Barren Garden

Faith is a Barren Garden

Faith is a barren garden

planted in hope

of hiding a soul's imperfect being.

Yet its weak and sickly saplings

avoid the sun, revealing

the acid glare of the cynic's soulless seeing.

Only Charity offers succour to the homeless.

Humans: the race that plagues the Earth

You see the USA and UK
Having pride for our race
When really, we are a disgrace
But the truth always is the hardest thing to face

We hurt the world that gave us life
Proving our greed has no price
We are a plague upon the earth
Taking it for all that it is worth
Money comes before conservation
Because nothing is worth it, without gaining a sum
Disguising our greed as caring for what's ...

Charities and the church

Charities and the church

The two bodies we should most respect

Are only interested in reputation

Not in the people they should protect.

They hide and conceal

Crimes so heinous we all deplore

Women raped, children abused

Victims too scared to report to the law.

I hold my head and weep a river

For humanity and its darkest shame

How can we stoop so low

In re...

The pitifulness of the pityful

In a bustling  open market
Before sunset
In buyers
And sellers heart
Seeking  a place
An emaciated old beggar
With a weather-worn face
Was pitifully collecting alms
Putting on tattered clothes.

Soon in a tear-jerking
And heart-wrenching manner
A poor blind boy
Playing a flute
Singing a song strong
Titillating everyone's heart
Invoked sympathy with art
"It was
On a cursed morn

Soft Money

Deciding
To be kind
For those in need
I gave money off hand.

But soon
I turned cruel
When many took my giving
A for granted rule!

Savory,
Spoils many
Soft money.

Brit-Wres-Fest 2012 - NaPoWriMo Piece

First time he'd ever been,

First time he'd ever seen

imaginations running wild brother,

see it to believe it.

As British as fish and chips

on a sunny London afternoon.

3 way dance or triple threat,

call it what you like but never forget

the joy,

the elation

the anticipation.

As Ligero drives the crowd wild,

the show stealer got robbed
