Finding the Beauty in Christmas
Mistletoe by candlelight,
love lined Christmas markets,
shopping centres full of happy couples.
Let them have what I do not,
it is theirs.
But what is mine?
My Christmas must come early
if I am to maintain the mirage of the miracle.
I'll line the markets with an illuminating

Home
They say home is where the heart is
and my heart is where the art lives.
So where is my home?
Art lives within us all
and begins an internal/external exchange...

Rain in the Summertime

Until thunder morphs into cuddles .
In the streams your form takes shape,
Eyes that gaze with hope and love

Two in the Rain
`
two joined, separated
a brother now one
and his brother's friend
a friend that loved
filled that emptiness
that hearth and home
could not mend
one fateful day

what tears run streaks
on your redded cheeks
why the furtive pulse
in your eyes it shows

Would you care for tea? (for Elaine)
‘Would you care for tea?’
‘Yes, please.’
‘What kind of tea do you like?’
- and the cupboard swung open …..
shelves of orderly boxes and cans
a canvas of colour and lyrical scents -
‘Black tea, red tea
green tea, white tea?
Citrus tea, berry tea,
apple, mango, peach?
Petals or herbs exotic or common?
Sparkled with spices or flower i...
