Glassed
Pass the glasses if you please
I’m told I need them as a tease
To see back through into the past
And read the words so clear at last
Must I be so old to see
A world lost so mournfully
Faded echoes of ghosts on show
A world I knew long ago
“Work from home” I was told
As I saw the world unfold
The screen burned and flickered with lines

I closed my eyes
and I kissed the thin
skin that covered yours;
I felt the graze of fine hair
at the nape of your neck
and I inhaled your scent;
You rest your palm
atop my rising chest..
it is just the size
of my beating heart..

My glasses
My glasses are part of me
They are simple and not flashy
I shall wear them with pride
They are fashionable and worldwide
Many colours and styles to choose
It is always nice to hear honest views
I don’t need them on when I am in bed
They come off as not glued to my head
I always feel lost without my glasses
Missing all those admiring glances

The Seer
Warning, not for the light hearted, contains very strong poetry concerning the darker side of seeing.
Thought I may aswell open with something dark and hard hitting, take the warning seriously though and be aware the Poem is about true life experience.
