Lunar

Last night the moon

orange sickle bright

seemed too large, low

hung over hedges

 

briefly eclipsed

by passing trees

dimmed by

closer light yet

 

always the lit

rondure

discovered

its umbral orb

 

to me -

I was driving

in the moondark

night
