But when life fell apart

I can't feel whole

Where do we go 

When what comforts is not there ?

What do we do 

With all, our despair ?

When it seems, a haughty pride

Has no desrire to feel our side

When children are crying and fearful and sad

No arms reaching out to be had

Special interset and bigotry has taken place

And torn apart our counrty of Grace

Where so many can not understand

No comfort for a nation in turmoil 

No condolence, for the cries

Just a half hearted, " stop it "

Are the only replies

From an election of ugly

To uglier now it seems

As a counrty of promise

Loses it's hopes and dreams

For there are so many 

Who simply do not care

That they have thrown their neighbors

Into chaos and despair

Values that once united
