whale-watching season

Whale breaches still waters

spraying mist into the twilight. 

 

Oil seeps through grill’s crevices 

onto bright glowing briquettes, as 

 

Beef sizzles to unfolding drama, 

surrounded by awe and wonder;

 

Hooked by the vast expanse 

of the Outback and the Sea.
