Hi Michelle, thanks for reading & commenting on 'shut up...'. I always appreciate your comments, and agree with your observation about religion not being able to accommodate passion (particularly if that passion is expressed by a woman), at least in my experience, which I admit isn't extensive :)
Michelle, I would stop making comments completely if I considered them to be 'reviews'. Where would I get the crust? I like the idea of talking together, informally, and often helpfully. Anyone can take my own work apart totally, which has happened frequently, to my delight and improvement. I always consider the points or options suggested and do make relevant changes.
Very evocative and warm Michelle. Captures the moment and metaphor for companiosnship / comfort so well.

Thank you for your comment Michelle. Writing seams to be the best outlet for me. Unfortunately my muse always comes from heartbreak or disappointment. I really enjoyed your poem 'Holding Hands' ...I can relate to that also.

Hi Michelle
Thanks for your note on Bathtime.
It's a deeply unpleasant memory from childhood that has plagued me for years. I thought to try and exorcise it through poetry. Stu's take is close to the real thing.
Cheers
Laura
