Biography

I'm Paul, 43 years old from Manchester (but living in Blackpool) Have been to WriteOut Loud at the Tudor in Wigan, now at the Old Courts and have recently started writing my own poetry.

Samples

14 years of being half of a couple destroyed terminated decimated Indescriminating illness, not caring who or what it tears apart. The fear The loneliness the darkness Then in the distance a glimmer a spark of hope lighting up the shadows Could it be? You taught my heart to love again, penetrated my barriers Let me become the man I was always supposed to be. You saved my life Although you would never see it like that You taught my heart to love again.

Thanks for your comment on my last poem Paul - I'm touched that you found it thought provoking. And I'm also sorry that you are relocating to Torquay! You'll have to come back and visit us in Wigan whenever you can - and next time, I'd love to hear you perform some of your poems too!

Take care and I hope the move goes well. xx

Hi Paul - thanks for the kind comments regarding 'Mama' - yes the Old Courts is a good venue for reciting the spooky stuff isn't it? I appreciate you taking time out to comment - see you next month

Hello Paul,

Welcome to Write Out Loud, we hope you are enjoying the site and we're really looking forward to reading some of your work. I know that you will be warmly welcomed by other WOL-ers too.

It would be great if you could upload a picture of yourself, it’s really good to see what our fellow poets look like.

Have a good look around, there’s always lots going on and if you have the time to make some comments about the work of other poets please feel free to do so, it’s often the best way to get some constructive feedback about your own work too.
There’s usually somebody who’ll help you out with any problems that you might encounter, so just ask and someone will get back to you.
WOL is a friendly, creative and unassuming place, so welcome from all of us once again.

The Write Out Loud Team.
