Seduction
Standing on the threshold,
I have to admit
Your home looks so inviting.
That bluesy guitar
Goes straight to my soul,
And the wind outside,
It is biting!
You dispose of my coat
And draw me inside,
You pour me a glass of wine,
And as you carefully
Pass it to me
Our fingers intertwine.
Your lighting is low and seductive,
Log flames crackle in the hearth.
I answer your suggestion coquettishly,
You give a low and throaty laugh.
Your outrageous offers
Are delightful,
You shoot me yet another.
Could an objection
Have come to my lips,
Your kisses now
Would smother.
As you gather me ever closer
And kiss me deeply and long,
I know I am utterly lost
Inside your arms so strong.
We sink down into the hearth rug,
So luxuriously soft.
Your eyes burn into mine
As you lift my dress aloft.
Words of love you whisper,
Your voice sounds so sincere.
I am happy to surrender,
So glad that I am here….
