We had a brand new visitor
come to our garden today
He was caught on camera
before he made his getaway

He’s bold, bright and beautiful 
red belly, spotted black and white 
Much larger than the other birds
he makes a majestic sight 

We named him Woody Woodpecker 
not so original I know
Now we wait for a re-run
of the Woody Woodpecker show
