A tight piece of writing and despite its american origins I prefer 'ass' in your haiku to 'arse' as the vowel sound is short echoing 'Past' in the previous verse ( to my northern ear anyway)
I enjoyed it. XX
Neat...and good advice too!
"The past provides the worst and best

Thank you Tony for giving me an idea to write another haiku.
Why do you wish to face the future?

The past has you in its grip
And its eyes upon your bum.
What a super Haiku Larisa! It scans and it's funny and it makes a lot of sense all round :)

Nice pithy use of the haiku...and true too.

Thank you, Tony!

Today is the first day of the rest of your life. I had a t-shirt with this on it back in the 70's. Great poem! Take care, Tony.
Thank you dear Hugh!
An excellent piece of advice.Made me smile.
